The Immortal Jellyfish, Turritopsis rubra. This little hydrozoan is often seen at the Poor Knights, usually in the shallows.
Turritopsis species have been known to revert from the adult medusa stage back to the polyp stage of the life cycle, essentially reversing the life cycle and in theory, potentially making them immortal!
Around 8mm.
