Madonna Squid- Qunitet Series

Ancistrocheirus lesueurii- paralarva at the Poor Knights. Very rarely seen or photographed in NZ. This little squid is around 10mm long and has the unusual habit of 'striking a pose', much to the delight of the underwater photographer. The squid will swim for a while and then strike a pose for several seconds. Hence the nickname... Madonna Squid!
